09/07/2010 - ::Extra Goodies:: - Sammy Hagar

::Extra Goodies::

In this morning's Ocho-rific Song o the Day, "Montrose" was mentioned.  As press time I hadn't had a chance to google Montrose.  I have now and recognize them!!

You remember Bad Motor Scooter, don't you?  Me too ... but I had no idea it was Sammy Hagar with his first band.

That's the fun thing here folks, we all learn together!! :)

*Just before joining Van Halen, he teamed up with Neal Schon (Santana, Journey, Bad English) to tour under the name HSAS. They released an album that went to #42.

*Hagar had his biggest success as David Lee Roth's replacement in Van Halen from 1985-1996.

*His father was a boxer, and for a short time, so was Sammy.

::An Interview::

Someone was telling me about Blessings in a Backpack just the other day and as I was researching Hagar's charitable giving I found that he has supported this group.  Do take a look at the link for it if you have a few minutes ..
Until next time...
Have a Grand and Groovy Day!!
